// privacy, plainly

Useful without being creepy.

This page explains what happens when you use the Adaptius website, its public Brand Agent, and the contact form. We collect less by design, use it for named purposes, and do not let visitor conversations rewrite the Brand Brain.

Last updated August 15, 2026

The short version: the public Brand Agent uses your message to answer you. It does not build a personal profile or remember you across visits. If “Help the Brain learn” is on, we keep that question briefly to find missing FAQs. You can turn it off before you send.
// the public Brand Agent

What happens when you ask a question

Your message and a small amount of recent conversation from the open browser tab are sent to Groq so the agent can answer from Adaptius’s approved public Brand Brain. Adaptius does not save that conversation, the answer, your IP address, or a cross-session visitor profile in its own systems.

Groq processes the request under the data controls on Adaptius’s Groq account. Groq states that inference input and output are not retained by default except for limited reliability and abuse cases, which may last up to 30 days unless Zero Data Retention is enabled. Usage metadata may still be retained. Do not share confidential, sensitive, or personal information in this public chat.

// help the Brain learn

We learn from questions, not from people

When question learning is available, the chat includes a visible “Help the Brain learn” control. It starts on and stays only in the open tab. When it is on, Adaptius may save the single question you send, whether the public Brain had a matching answer, and the public Brain version.

When question learning is enabled, its records are stored in a private Neon Postgres database connected to the Adaptius website through Vercel. Access is limited to the people operating this feature.

// feedback and measurement

Small signals, no surveillance

When you mark an answer helpful or not helpful, we keep the random response number, your choice, and an optional fixed reason such as “unclear” or “too generic.” We do not attach the question, answer, identity, or transcript to that feedback.

The website also uses privacy-conscious traffic and performance measurement. Those services may process broad technical information such as page, browser type, device type, approximate region, and timing. We do not put chat messages, answers, names, or email addresses into analytics events.

// contacting us

The contact form is a separate choice

If you open the contact form and submit it, we use the information you provide to reply to your request. The form sends the note through Resend to Adaptius. It is not silently filled with your chat transcript, and chatting does not subscribe you to marketing.

// your control

Questions or deletion requests

You can turn question learning off in the chat before sending. If you believe you shared personal information or want to ask about access or deletion, write to hello@adaptius.ai. Because the learning system deliberately stores no identity with a question, we may need enough information from you to locate the record without collecting more than necessary.

Adaptius does not sell visitor chat data or use it to build advertising profiles.
